Chief Internal Auditor

The Authority invites suitably qualified applicants for the following contractual position: Chief Internal Auditor (FMG/AS 4) (Band 10) Job Purpose: To lead and manage the internal audit function of the Cannabis Licensing Authority by developing and implementing internal audit programmes/activities. To examine and evaluate the adequacy of management controls systems, with a view to accomplish the strategic objectives of the CLA and execution of its mandate; in a manner that is transparent and demonstrates integrity.

Public Education and Information Officer

The Authority invites suitably qualified applicants for the following contractual position: Public Education and Information Officer (MCG/ IE 3) (Band 7) Job Purpose: Under the direction of the Director, Public Relations and Communications, the Public Education and Information Officer will be responsible for developing and executing strategic public education campaigns aimed at promoting public awareness, understanding, and engagement with the cannabis industry and its regulations.

Director, Corporate Planning & Performance Analysis

The Authority invites suitably qualified applicants for the following contractual position: Director, Corporate Planning & Performance Analysis (GMG/ SEG 3) Band 9 Job Purpose: Under the general direction of the Director, Human Resource Management and Administration, the Director, Corporate Planning will co-ordinate the Corporate Planning process of the Authority to ensure consistency with the Authority’s Strategic Objectives and monitor the implementation of the Corporate Plan, as well as ensure that established performance targets are met.

Human Resource Development and Performance Management Officer (GMG/SEG 2)

The Authority invites suitably qualified applicants for the following contractual position: Human Resource Development and Performance Management Officer Job Purpose: Under the direct supervision of the Director, Human Resource Management and Development, the Human Resource Development and Performance Management Officer will contribute to the efficient operations of the Human Resource Management and Development Unit by supporting the implementation of the relevant plans, programme and initiatives. The incumbent is also responsible for managing the implementation and maintenance of a Performance Management Appraisal System within the Authority as well as ensure that all matters relating to training and development of staff are adequately addressed.

Director, Finance & Accounting (FMG/ PA 3)

The Authority invites suitably qualified applicants for the following contractual position: Director, Finance& Accounting Band 9 Job Purpose: To plan, organize and direct the operations of the Finance and Accounting Unit and manage the preparation and presentation of the CLA’s budget, supplementary estimates, cash flows, costing and operational plan to ensure the optimum utilization of the Authority’s financials.

Public Procurement Officer (GMG/AM 3)

The Authority invites suitably qualified applicants for the following contractual position: Public Procurement Officer Job Purpose: Under the supervision of the Director, Public Procurement, the Public Procurement Officer provides support to the procurement process and ensures that procurement is done in accordance with the Government of Jamaica’s Procurement guidelines, policies and procedures.
